Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Huu Uoc, Chairman of the Vietnam Vascular Disease Association, said that 3 topics are focused on in depth this year including: carotid artery and cervical vascular disease, visceral and renal artery disease, and arteriovenous bypass for hemodialysis patients.
The conference is considered a prestigious scientific forum in the field of vascular diseases, creating opportunities for medical and surgical doctors and multidisciplinary experts to update knowledge, share experiences, and contribute to improving the quality of treatment and people’s health care.

Associate Professor Uoc said the incidence of vascular disease in Vietnam is increasing rapidly, not only in the elderly but also in younger people.
Vietnam is one of the countries with the fastest population aging rate in the world, leading to a sharp increase in hospitalizations for metabolic disorders, cardiovascular and vascular diseases.
At the same time, many young people also face the risk of disease due to work pressure, lack of exercise, obesity, smoking and atherosclerosis.
