Emergency care for peripheral and major vascular injuries, damage control resuscitation and surgery, vascular reconstruction/shunting, and emergency transcatheter embolization/REBOA.

Standardize prehospital triage, emergency resuscitation, and safe inter-hospital transfer protocols for vascular trauma.

Champion Damage Control Resuscitation and Damage Control Surgery paradigms, including temporary intravascular shunting in poly-trauma.

Expand emergency endovascular hemorrhage control: transcatheter embolization in solid organ/pelvic trauma, stent-grafts in traumatic aortic rupture, and REBOA.

Enhance clinical capabilities in pediatric vascular trauma, combined orthopedic-vascular limb injuries, and compartment syndrome.

Provide simulation-based trauma training workshops, hands-on surgical skills labs, and national scientific meetings.

Clinical Domain

Core Procedures, Diagnostics & Interventions

  • Rapid bedside trauma assessment, handheld Doppler, and emergency CT angiography (CTA) imaging.
  • Prehospital and emergency hemorrhage control (pressure dressings, specialized tourniquets, balloon occlusion).
  • Temporary intravascular shunt (TIVS) insertion for limb perfusion during orthopedic stabilization.
  • Direct end-to-end vascular anastomosis and autologous saphenous vein / prosthetic bypass grafting.
  • Emergency transcatheter embolization (coils, microparticles, liquid agents) in solid organ and pelvic fracture bleeding.
  • Timely surgical fasciotomy for compartment syndrome prevention and ischemia-reperfusion injury mitigation.
