From October 8 to 10, 2026, at the Pullman & Novotel Aerocity Convention Centre in New Delhi, India, the 27th Annual Congress of the Asian Society for Vascular Surgery (ASVS 2026), organized in conjunction with the Vascular Society of India (VSICON), was held with remarkable international academic stature.
The official delegation of the Vietnam Vascular Disease Association (VNVDA), led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Huu Uoc, MD, PhD – President of VNVDA, former Director of the Cardiovascular and Thoracic Center at Viet Duc University Hospital, together with leading vascular surgeons and interventional radiologists from major central hospitals across Vietnam, actively engaged in diverse academic programs, presented high-impact clinical research, and reinforced Vietnam’s prominent role in regional and global vascular medicine.
ASVS 2026 brought together over 1,500 delegates and faculty from Japan, South Korea, Singapore, India, Thailand, Malaysia, Taiwan, Australia, Europe, and the United States, creating an extensive multilateral forum addressing complex open vascular surgery, cutting-edge endovascular techniques, and comprehensive patient care.

The official working delegation of the Vietnam Vascular Disease Association (VNVDA) is currently in New Delhi, India, attending the ASVS 2026 Congress.
To date, all council sessions and the Official Handover Ceremony of the ASVS 2027 Host Flag have been triumphantly completed, marking a momentous and proud achievement for the Vietnam Vascular Disease Association on the international stage.
As of October 8, 2026, Vietnam officially assumes the mission to host ASVS 2027; the President of VNVDA was unanimously elected as Congress President of ASVS 2027.
This is an immense honor for the Vietnam Vascular Disease Association as well as an enormous responsibility. A vast volume of preparatory work lies ahead, requiring the solidarity, unity, dedicated responsibility, and tireless efforts of the entire Executive Committee, Secretariat, and all members nationwide.
ASVS 2027 is not only a major international scientific congress, but also a prime opportunity to affirm the standing, clinical capabilities, and prestige of Vietnamese medicine in the regional and international scientific community. This is a source of national pride and a grand collective mission that we shoulder together.
